Special Weather Statement issued for Howe Sound - strong winds expected

Strong gusty winds are expected over the South Coast this afternoon and tonight.

A strong cold front will move across the South Coast late this afternoon and evening bringing strong winds and cooler temperatures in its wake. Westerly winds gusting to 70 km/h can be expected over exposed coastal sections behind the front. These winds will ease overnight as the front moves into the Interior.
