On Monday July 4, in the morning before 9am, Pemberton Recreation Service will treat the grass at the Pemberton Community Centre with a herbicide to deal with the extensive clover, which has attracted wasps and resulted in several stings to our littlest park users.
The treatment selected is an all-natural, mineral based herbicide that is absorbed quickly into the plant. The excessive iron makes its way to the root system and causes the weed to quickly die at the source.
It will be applied first thing in the morning of Monday, July 4. Treatment should be completed by 9am. The manufacturer advises that children and pets can go on to the lawn two to three hours after application.
If you want to know more about the selected herbicide, download this product information sheet.
