Each year, communities gather at the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month to stand in honour and to observe a moment of silence to mark the sacrifice of the many who have fallen in service of their country and acknowledge the courage of those who still serve.
SLRD residents are invited to pause for a two-minute moment of silence on Saturday, November 11 at 11:00 a.m.
For those preferring to pay their respects from home, the annual ceremony held in our nation’s capital will be broadcast on television and livestreamed on The Royal Canadian Legion Facebook page.
