Starting Monday, May 15, 2017, the hours at the Pemberton Transfer Station will be expanded during the week.
This is a trial program.
In March 2017, the SLRD Board of Directors approved additional hours of operation at the Pemberton Transfer Station as part of the annual budget. The transfer station will now offer morning hours and close one hour later in the evenings.
Starting on May 15, 2017, the hours at the transfer station will be as follows:

The SLRD will be assessing the usage of the transfer station during a trial period from May 15 to September 15, 2017. Staff will conduct a visitation survey before and during the trial period to determine the number loads disposed of at a particular time. The additional hours may be modified or eliminated following a review of the data collected during the trial period.
