BC Hydro advised that they would be releasing water from Daisy Lake from 12:30 on Thursday, January 28 2015 to manage the high inflows from recent and ongoing rainfall. Total discharge was projected to be up to 220 cubic m/s. The Cheakamus River was expected to rise, but not to such a degree that will warrant flood alerts.

The spill release activity is now complete, as of 8:50am on Friday, January 29 2015. Flows on the Cheakamus will return to normal.
