BC Hydro Notice: Planned power outage in the Gold Bridge area - June 13, 2017

Power outage planned Tuesday, June 13, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. (4 hours)

Gold Bridge, B.C. - BC Hydro has notified the Squamish-Lillooet Regional District that it will be performing work at the Lajoie Substation on Tuesday, June 13, 2017. To ensure the safety of work crews, power will need to be shut off for about 4 hours (10 a.m. - 2 p.m.) while the work takes place.

Impacted Neighbourhoods: 

  • Bralorne
  • Gold Bridge
  • Gun Lake
  • Gun Creek Road
  • Hornal Road (to be confirmed) 
  • Marshall Lake / Marshall Lake Road (to be confirmed)
  • Outlying areas of Electoral Area A (to be confirmed)

​* Tyaughton Lake properties will not be impacted by this power outage.

Preparing for the Power Outage:

To prepare for this interruption, please turn off and unplug all electrical devices. For the first hour after the power comes back on, help ensure that the electrical system doesn't get overloaded by plugging in and turning on only what you need.
