Highway 12 is closed in both directions about 30 km south of the junction with Highway 99 due to a mudslide. An estimated time of opening is currently not available - an assessment is in progress.
Detour is via Highway 1, Highway 97 and Highway 99.

August 2, 3:00 p.m. - Unfortunately, due to ongoing storm activity, a geotechnical assessment of the area cannot be completed today due to unsafe flying conditions. Geotechs will attempt to assess the situation again early Wednesday morning.||August 3, 7:00 p.m. - Highway 12 has been re-open to single lane, alternating traffic.
