The Province of British Columbia has issued a Work Advisory for the Porteau Cove Rail Crossing.
The rail crossing that allows access to Porteau Cove Park will be replaced overnight between February 12th and 13th. There will be no public vehicle or pedestrian access in or out of Porteau Cove Park between 8pm on February 12th, 2024, and 8am on February 13th, 2024, while this important work is being completed.
BC Parks’ Reservation Services team will contact all affected camping parties. There may be noise disruptions overnight as a result of this work. For those that choose to camp overnight in the campground, please ensure you’re back in the park on February 12th before 8pm. In the event of an emergency overnight:
- Call 9-1-1.
- Call the on-site CN Site Contact: Tyler Ward – (236) 331-5930. Inform Tyler of the emergency. Should emergency vehicles require park access, CN will create a temporary rail crossing.
