Synopsis:
Snowfall, with total amounts of 15 to 20 cm is expected. A moist warm front extending from a deep Pacific low will bring 15 to 20 cm of snow to Whistler by Sunday morning. The snow will begin in earnest Saturday morning and transition to mixed rain and snow Saturday night as the warm front pushes through and temperatures rise to just above freezing.
Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions. Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow. If visibility is reduced while driving, turn on your lights and maintain a safe following distance. Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada. To report severe weather, send an email to pacificstorm@ec.gc.ca or tweet reports to #BCStorm.
