Pursuant to Section 464 of the Local Government Act, this is to provide notice of intent of the Squamish-Lillooet Regional District to amend the Electoral Area D Zoning Bylaw No. 1350-2016, in a manner consistent with the Electoral Area D Official Community Plan Bylaw No. 1135-2013.
Public notice is hereby given in accordance with Section 467 of the Local Government Act that a Public Hearing is being waived regarding the following bylaw:
- Squamish-Lillooet Regional District Electoral Area D Zoning Bylaw No. 1350-2016, Amendment Bylaw No. 1968-2026
Purpose of Bylaw No. 1968-2026
Bylaw No. 1968-2026 proposes an SLRD initiated mapping amendment to correct the boundary between a residential area, zoned R1, and a tourist commercial area, zoned C1, located at the corner of Highway 99 and Copper Drive in Britannia Beach. The two parcels are identified as:
- Lot A, District Lots 891 and 892, GROUP 1 NEW WESTMINSTER DISTRICT, PLAN EPP98029, &
- Lot B, District Lots 891 and 892, GROUP 1 NEW WESTMINSTER DISTRICT, PLAN EPP98029.
The zoning map revision will appear on Schedule B6 of the CD 2 Zone.

Proposed

As the proposed mapping amendment is consistent with the Official Community Plan the SLRD may waive the holding of a public hearing on the proposed bylaw.
Information and Submissions
A copy of the proposed bylaw and relevant background documents may be inspected at the Regional District office, 1350 Aster Street, Pemberton, BC, during office hours 8:00 am to 4:00 pm from June 1 to July 21, 2026, not including weekends and statutory holidays, or on the SLRD website.
Written submissions (mail or email) must be received at the SLRD office no later than 4:00 pm Tuesday July 21, 2026.
