Public Notice is hereby given in accordance with Section 466 of the Local Government Act that a public hearing will be held electronically regarding the following bylaws:
- Squamish-Lillooet Regional District Electoral Area D Zoning Bylaw No. 1350-2016, Amendment Bylaw No. 1955-2026.
PURPOSE OF BYLAW 1955-2026
To permit a Bed and Breakfast use within an existing dwelling at 14988 Squamish Valley Road, a property zoned Agriculture 1 in the Squamish Valley. The proposed Bed and Breakfast would operate in accordance with the provisions of Section 4.6 of the Area D Zoning Bylaw No. 1350-2016, which establishes standards for Bed and Breakfast operations, including the maximum number of guest rooms, change of use permit requirements, and parking requirements.
The guest accommodations are intended to support seasonal agritourism activities while providing supplementary income to the farm operation. No expansion of the existing buildings or structures is proposed as part of the application.
PUBLIC PARTICIPATION
A copy of the proposed bylaw and relevant background documents may be inspected at the Regional District office, 1350 Aster Street, Pemberton, BC, during office hours 8:00 am to 4:00 pm not including weekends and statutory holidays, or by requesting an electronic copy from planning@slrd.bc.ca. All persons who believe that their interest in the property is affected by the proposed bylaw shall be afforded a reasonable opportunity to present written submissions respecting matters contained in the bylaw.

Written submissions must be addressed to “SLRD Board of Directors,” and include your name and community of residence. Until 4:00 pm on August 10, 2026, written submissions (mail or email) will be received at the following:
