The Squamish-Lillooet Regional District (SLRD) will install a new onsite sewerage system at the Lillooet Landfill & Recycling Centre. The work includes the removal of some trees to accommodate this much-needed upgrade.
Work is scheduled to begin on Tuesday, November 10, 2026 and is expected to finish by the end of the day on Wednesday, November 11. A reminder - the landfill is normally closed on Tuesdays and will also be closed Wednesday, November 11, for the Remembrance Day statutory holiday. It will reopen on Friday, November 13, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
