Land-Based Recovery

A land-based recovery table was formed to address the various ongoing environmental recovery initiatives and ensure local representation, insight, and input.

One outcome of this recovery table is an initiative that will replant over 80,000 seedling trees on affected private properties in 2026 at no cost to the landowners. Cariboo Carbon Solutions (CCS) and Tree Canada are working with the SLRD and Gun Lake residents to execute this multiple-year project. With 40 landowners signed up, the project is a major step forward in recovery and climate resiliency in the Upper Bridge River Valley. If you missed the intake form deadline or if your circumstances change over the coming months, please reach out to info@cariboocarbon.ca.
