Public Hearing: Whistler Waldorf School Zoning Amendment Application

    Purpose of Bylaw 1368-2014 and 1369-2014:

    Whistler Waldorf School (WWS) submitted a rezoning application to build a permanent school facility on a <3 hectare parcel of leased Crown Land, immediately adjacent to and north of the WedgeWoods subdivision. The bylaw amendments propose to do the following:

    • Amend the Electoral Area C OCP map in order to re-designate the subject land from Resource Management to Institutional.
    • Amend the Electoral Area C Zoning Bylaw in order to re-designate the subject land from RR1 - Resource Management to PA1- Public Assembly and Institutional, and limit the institutional use to school and playground uses.

    Information and Submissions?

    A copy of the proposed bylaws and relevant background documents may be inspected on the Whistler Waldorf School Current Projects webpage or at the Regional District office, 1350 Aster Street, Pemberton, BC, during office hours 8:00 am to 4:30 pm from February 5 to February 16, 2015 not including weekends and statutory holidays.

    The public hearing is to be chaired by Electoral Area C Director Russell Mack as a delegate of the SLRD Regional Board.

    A copy of the Board resolution making the delegation is available for public inspection along with a copy of Bylaw 1368-2014 and 1369-2014. All persons who believe that their interest in the property is affected by the proposed bylaw shall be afforded a reasonable opportunity to be heard or to present written submissions respecting matters contained in the bylaw at the public hearing.

    Persons unable to attend the hearing are invited to forward written submissions to the SLRD office in advance of the public hearing date.
