Open burning will be conducted over the coming weeks to burn piles resulting from tree clearing activities at Lillooet Lake Estates, at 7.5 km on the In-SHUCK-ch Forest Service Road. This work is being undertaken by Coastal Mountain Excavations Ltd. (CME) for the Catiline Creek Debris Flow Mitigation project.
Burning will take place as and when ventilation conditions permit, starting as early as Saturday December 6, 2025. Once burning starts, it will continue for 24 hours a day as permitted by conditions.
Smoke from piles may be visible to surrounding communities and travelers on the In-SHUCK-ch Forest Service Road. Pile burning will only proceed if conditions are favourable.
Work is related to the Catiline Creek Debris Flow Mitigation project.
