Notice of Public Hearing - Electoral Area D - Porteau Cove Commercial Campground

The amendment bylaws would facilitate the development of a commercial campground on lands legally described as PID 027-966-950 by redesignating the property from Resource Management to Commercial - Porteau Cove Campground in the Official Community Plan and rezoning the property from Rural Resource 3 (RR3) to Campground Commercial 1 (CC1).

Public Participation

A copy of the amendment bylaws and relevant background documents may be inspected at the Regional District office, 1350 Aster Street, Pemberton, BC, during office hours 8:00 am to 4:00 pm not including weekends and statutory holidays, by visiting the SLRD Project Webpage, or by requesting an electronic copy from Kristina Bell planning@SLRD.bc.ca. 

All persons who believe that their interest in the property is affected by the proposed bylaws shall be afforded a reasonable opportunity to present written submissions respecting matters contained in the bylaws.

Submit Written Comments to the Board

Written submissions must be addressed to “SLRD Board of Directors,” and include your name and community of residence. Written submissions (mail or email) will be accepted until the close of public hearing at the following:

The public hearing will be conducted electronically via Zoom on November 16, 2026, at 7:00 PM.
