Public notice is hereby given in accordance with Section 467 of the Local Government Act regarding the following bylaw:
Squamish-Lillooet Regional District Electoral Area C Zoning Bylaw No. 765, 2002, Amendment Bylaw No. 1879-2025
PURPOSE OF BYLAW NO. 1879-2025
The bylaw is associated with an application to amend the zoning of a portion of DL2247 to enable the future subdivision of the lands and construction of 6 duplex buildings, or 12 dwelling units. Eight of the duplex units are proposed to be market housing, while four units are proposed to be non-market housing with resale restrictions. Common facilities including a mail and waste disposal building, visitor parking, and a play area are proposed. Site servicing will be by way of groundwater wells and septic disposal fields.
The bylaw proposes to rezone the portion of the existing parcel shown on Schedule 1 from CD-1 Comprehensive Development 1 - WedgeWoods Estates to CD2 - Comprehensive Development 2, a new site-specific zone to enable duplex residential development as detailed in this notice.
As the proposed zoning amendment is consistent with the Official Community Plan and the purpose is to permit a residential development, the SLRD must not hold a public hearing on the proposed bylaw. The area covered by Bylaw No. 1879-2025 is a portion of PID 015-912-337, DISTRICT LOT 2247 GROUP 1 NEW WESTMINSTER DISTRICT, EXCEPT: FIRSTLY; PART IN PLAN VAP23216 AND SECONDLY; PART IN PLAN BCP39086 as outlined on the map included in this notice:
