Pursuant to Section 467 of the Local Government Act this is to provide notice of intent of the Squamish-Lillooet Regional District to amend the Electoral Area C Zoning Bylaw No. 765, 2002, in a manner consistent with the Electoral Area C Official Community Plan No. 689, 1999. The SLRD is prohibited from holding a Public Hearing under Section 464 of the Local Government Act for this subject bylaw as the proposal is for a residential development.

Public notice is hereby given in accordance with Section 467 of the Local Government Act that a Public Hearing is being waived regarding the following bylaw:

  1. Squamish-Lillooet Regional District Electoral Area C Zoning Bylaw No. 765, 2002, Amendment Bylaw No. 1866-2024

Purpose of Bylaw No. 1866-2024
The bylaw is associated with an application to amend the zoning at 9035 Riverside Drive to enable an existing sales centre building to be repurposed as an accessory building containing an Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU). The current SLRD Area C Zoning Bylaw provides for 110m2 of gross floor area for an ADU. Under the proposed bylaw, the maximum gross floor area for an ADU at Riverside Drive would be amended to 140m2. This will enable the future construction of a single family dwelling on the 1.42ha parcel.

The area covered by Bylaw No. 1866-2024 is PID: 028-307-461, Bare Land Strata Lot 12, DL 2247, Group 1, NWD, Strata Plan BCS 3916, as outlined on the map included in this notice:
