PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given in accordance with Section 494 of the Local Government Act that the Regional Board will be considering the issuance of the below mentioned permits at its regular Board meeting on June 22, 2016, at 10:30 am, in the Squamish-Lillooet Regional District Board Room, 1350 Aster Street, Pemberton, BC.   

Temporary Use Permit (TUP) #45: DISTRICT LOT 213, LILLOOET LAND DISTRICT, EXCEPT PLAN 35687 (Owners:  Brenda McLeod  and Marion Ayers) - for parking associated with the Pemberton Music Festival

Temporary Use Permit (TUP) #46: LOT 11, PLAN KAP1241, DISTRICT LOT 210, LILLOOET LAND DISTRICT (Owners: Garth and Valerie Phare) - for camping associated with the Pemberton Music Festival

PURPOSE OF THE TUPS

The purpose of Temporary Use Permit (TUP) #45 is to allow the temporary use of the subject property as a parking area for the Pemberton Music Festival.  Specifically, the application is for 6,000 weekend parking spaces on the north and south portions of the property for a total of thirty-five hectares (~86.5 acres). Any TUP issued will be conditional on Agricultural Land Commission approval of the related Non-Farm Use Application 55184.

The purpose of Temporary Use Permit (TUP) #46 is to allow the temporary use of the subject property as a camping area for the Pemberton Music Festival.  Specifically, the application is for up to 200 staff tent camping sites on 4 hectares (~10 acres). Any TUP issued will be conditional on Agricultural Land Commission approval of the related Non-Farm Use Application 55184.

INFORMATION & SUBMISSIONS?

A copy of TUP #45 and TUP #46 and relevant background documents may be inspected at the SLRD Office, 1350 Aster Street, Pemberton, BC, during office hours 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday (excepting Public Holidays) from June 13, 2016 until 9:00am on June 22, 2016 or on the SLRD website. Written submissions respecting matters contained in TUP #45 and/or TUP #46 must be received at the SLRD office no later than 9:00am, Wednesday June 22, 2016. Submissions may be sent to planning@slrd.bc.ca.
