The Downton Lake wildfire recovery site is a new tool developed to serve as a hub of information and resources to help residents navigate the recovery process. Here, we will share relevant information, including SLRD updates, results of our advocacy efforts and wildfire recovery news. Tipping fees are charged for certain materials that you bring to the facility in order to cover the operating costs of the facility and the cost of recycling the items.

Squamish-Lillooet Regional District Lillooet Landfill Fees and Charges Regulation Bylaw No. 1835-2023

Squamish-Lillooet Regional District Lillooet Landfill Fees and Charges Regulation Amendment Bylaw No. 1967-2026 will be available as of August 1, 2026.

The increase in tipping fees supports the financial sustainability of landfill operations by advancing full cost recovery, reinforcing the user-pay principle, and helping to ensure the long-term operational and environmental viability of the waste management system.
