Overview
The SLRD adopted Electoral Area B Official Community Plan Bylaw No.1890-2025 in December 2025. The OCP update project was introduced in July 2025 and included reformatting and graphic modernization of the document to make it easier to navigate. Additionally, it introduced important content updates to ensure alignment with the recent Provincial legislative changes and any recent changes to other SLRD bylaws, policies, and studies.
Current Status
The amendment bylaw was given third reading and received adoption at the SLRD Board meeting on December 17th, 2025.
A more comprehensive bylaw review of the Area B OCP is projected for 2027/2028, which will commence after the comprehensive review of the Area C OCP. During that review, a more comprehensive community engagement process will take place.
