The Squamish-Lillooet Regional District (SLRD) is pleased to announce that the Lillooet Landfill & Recycling Centre’s Reuse Shed will officially re-open and begin to accept items on Wednesday, October 2, 2024.
Going forward, the Reuse Shed will be open during all Lillooet Landfill operating hours - 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays (closed on statutory holidays).
The successful operation of the Reuse Shed depends on the users of this service. Before you bring your items, please review what is accepted at the Reuse Shed.. An attendant will be available to assist as needed, and will approve items for drop-off based on the accepted/prohibited list and can, at their discretion, refuse items on the accepted list if they are not clean, not in reusable condition, are duplicates or multiples of items already available at the Reuse Shed, or difficult to handle and require specific tools/machinery.

- Toys
- Dishes
- Housewares
- Sporting goods
- Garden equipment
- Tools
Prohibited Materials
- Hazardous/ toxic materials
- Cloth items (e.g., fabric, carpets, curtains, clothing - unless specified otherwise, etc.)
- Fabric-upholstered furniture
- Refrigeration units and air conditioners
- Appliances and electrical devices
- Food
- Liquids
- Mattresses / box springs
- Items with safety certifications (e.g., helmets, car seats, etc.)
- Automotive parts
- Metal
- Tires
- Building materials
- Real or replica weapons
- Wildlife attractants – food/edible products, grease, antifreeze, oil, paint or petroleum products
