PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given in accordance with Section 494 of the Local Government Act that the Regional Board will be considering the issuance of the above mentioned permit at its regular Board meeting on April 19, 2017, at 10:30 am, in the Squamish-Lillooet Regional District Board Room, 1350 Aster Street, Pemberton, BC.
The purpose of Temporary Use Permit (TUP) #51 is to: allow the temporary use of the subject property for a one-day fundraiser event for up to 300 people. The proposed fundraising event is in support of the Rise & Shine Foundation, which helps pay for deserving kids to join in on Jay DeMerit’s soccer camps and other programming. The application is for a three-year term as the intention is for the fundraiser to be an annual event. The fundraiser event would take place on a Saturday from 2pm to 11pm (adherence to the Electoral Area C Noise Regulation Bylaw No. 1438 is required. As such, noise is prohibited past 11pm) and would only involve the portion of the subject property outside the Agricultural Land Reserve (ALR). A Special Event Permit is also required.

A copy of TUP #51 and relevant background documents may be inspected at the SLRD Office, 1350 Aster Street, Pemberton, BC, during office hours 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday (excepting Public Holidays) from April 6, 2017 until 9:00am on April 19, 2017 or on the SLRD website at www.slrd.bc.ca/inside-slrd/notices.
