A Celebration of Food, Farmers and the Joys of Biking
Slow Food Cycle Sunday is a self-paced 45 km (28 mile) cycle out and back along Pemberton Meadows Road to experience Pemberton's agricultural community and celebrate farmers, farming and food. The event, organized by Tourism Pemberton takes place between 9 am - 3 pm on Sunday, August 20.
Registration
- Where: Pemberton Meadows Road at the location of the old Pemberton Community Centre (look for School District 48-s Bus Garage and the Meadows Playing Fields just northwest of the Village of Pemberton.
- When: Sunday, August 20 (9 am - 3 pm)
- Price: $5 per person / $20 per family (up to 6 members) / Children 5 and under are free
Traffic Impacts
In the interest of participant safety, Pemberton Meadows Road will be CLOSED to most vehicle traffic from 10 am - 2 pm (peak time). The road will remain open for slow moving farm vehicles.
From 9 am - 10 am and from 2 pm - 3 pm, the road will be shared by vehicle and bike traffic. However, the speed limit along Pemberton Meadows Road will be reduced to 30 km/hour. Please share the road and respect either other to ensure a fun and safe day for all.
