UPDATE - 9:41 pm Monday, June 5, 2017
With the help of the electrician from the Mine, power has been temporarily restored to the water pump in Bralorne and the system is back online. The distribution pipes should now be full and residents should have full water pressure. The reservoir is filling again, but this is a slow process; the SLRD respectfully asks that residents conserve their water use for the next 24 hours to ensure the reservoir fills as quickly as possible - this is imperative in case of a fire.
Repairs are needed on the electrical box in the pump house. The SLRD is working to get the repairs completed as quickly as possible as the temporary solution is not ideal long term. If you have any questions please contact the SLRD (Janis Netzel) at jnetzel@slrd.bc.ca
Thank you for your continued patience.

The power failure that occurred over the weekend in Bralorne has caused an electrical issue with the water pump that services the community. We are working to resolve this as quickly as possible by attempting to source a local electrician. Failing that, we have an electrician who will be onsite at 8 am tomorrow (Tuesday) morning. This electrician is willing to work with the Water Warden to troubleshoot the system over the phone tonight; the SLRD is hopeful this will be a successful endeavor.
In the meantime, the SLRD appologizes to the residents of Bralorne for the interrupted water service and encourage you to fill up jugs in Gold Bridge. There is a potable water tap at the corner of Fergusson Ave and Pioneer Road (across from the pub) in the flower garden area.
Updates for this issue will be posted as they become available. If you require further information, please contact the SLRD (Janis Netzel) at jnetzel@slrd.bc.ca.
