Snowfall warnings for Sea to Sky: Squamish and Whistler to get 15cm of rain-snow overnight

Environment Canada has issued a Snowfall Warning for Sea to Sky - Squamish to Whistler.

Snowfall, with total amounts of about 15 cm is expected.

A frontal system is approaching BC from the southwest and will begin to spread snow over Whistler and the Sea to Sky - Squamish to Whistler highway tonight, Friday 17 March 2017.

The snow will initially be mixed with rain early this evening and will become heavy later this evening. 15 cm of snow is expected before the snow eases to flurries or rain showers Saturday morning.

Rapidly accumulating snow will make travel difficult.

Weather in the mountains can change suddenly resulting in hazardous driving conditions.
