The SLRD is seeking reliable, civic-minded individuals to serve as Temporary Election Officials for the 2026 General Local Elections. Successful applicants will be hired as casual employees for the election period, from approximately September 21, 2026 to October 30, 2026.
Temporary Elections Officials will be paid a daily rate of $400 for working the required hours on each voting day; and $30 per hour to attend a mandatory training session prior to the Voting period.
If you are interested in working on General Voting Day (October 17) and during the Advance Voting period (October 7, 10, 14), please complete the SLRD’s Application to Work as a Temporary Election Official and submit by email to careers@slrd.bc.ca, no later than August 2, 2026 at 11:59 pm.
