Public Notice is hereby given in accordance with Section 466 of the Local Government Act that an electronic Public Hearing will be held regarding the following bylaw:

  • Squamish-Lillooet Regional District Electoral Area B Official Community Plan Bylaw No. 1890-2025

Purpose of Bylaw No. 1890-2025

The bylaw is a minor update to the existing Electoral Area B OCP, and includes graphic modernization and reorganization of the document to make it easier to navigate, as well as important content updates to ensure alignment with Provincial legislative changes and SLRD bylaws, policies, and studies. Ministry and organizational names have also been changed as needed. 

 

Content changes are minor in nature, with limited changes to objectives and policies. A more comprehensive review and update of the document is planned in the next few years. The comprehensive review will involve additional community engagement. 

 

The area covered by Bylaw No. 1890-2025 is the entirety of SLRD Electoral Area B. 

 

Information

A copy of the proposed bylaw and relevant background documents may be inspected at the Regional District office, 1350 Aster Street, Pemberton, BC, during office hours 8:00 am to 4:00 pm not including weekends and statutory holidays or by reviewing an electronic copy on the project page. All persons who believe that their interest in the property is affected by the proposed bylaws shall be afforded a reasonable opportunity to present submissions respecting matters contained in the bylaws.

Written Submissions

Written submissions must be addressed to “SLRD Board of Directors," and include your name and community of residence. Submissions will be received at the following until 4:00pm on November 13:

Written submissions will also be accepted on the meeting date (November 13) until the time when the motion to close the Public Hearing is made. During this timeframe, written comments must be submitted by email to: amackay@slrd.bc.ca
