Public Hearing: Thursday, November 27 at 7pm.
Public Notice is hereby given in accordance with Section 466 of the Local Government Act that an electronic Public Hearing will be held regarding the following bylaws:
- Squamish-Lillooet Regional District Electoral Area A Zoning Bylaw No. 670, 1999, Amendment Bylaw No. 1862-2024
- Squamish-Lillooet Regional District Electoral Area A Official Community Plan Bylaw No. 1822-2023, Amendment Bylaw No. 1943-2025
Purpose of Bylaw No. 1862-2024 and Bylaw No. 1943-2025
The bylaws are associated with an application to amend the zoning and OCP designation at 128 Lorne Street in Bralorne to permit expanded commercial operations on the parcel. The proposal includes:
Conversion of the existing principal residence building into a lodge with four guest rooms that can accommodate up to eight guests under a pension use
Six serviced guest cabins
An accessory building with common facilities and a caretaker suite
In addition, the applicant has applied to be able to host events on the property under a commercial assembly use.
The current zoning provides for bed and breakfast use, but no further commercial uses. The current land use designation under the OCP is Residential and Resource Management.
The bylaws were the subject of a previous electronic public hearing, held on July 30, 2024. This second public hearing will cover proposed management approaches as well as planned bylaw amendments.
The area covered by Bylaw No. 1862-2024 and Bylaw No. 1943-2025 is PID 017-228-476, LOT B DISTRICT LOT 5485 LILLOOET DISTRICT PLAN KAP44796 EXCEPT PLAN KAP81908, as outlined on the map included in this notice:

A copy of the proposed bylaw and relevant background documents may be inspected at the Regional District office, 1350 Aster Street, Pemberton, BC, during office hours 8:00 am to 4:00 pm not including weekends and statutory holidays or by reviewing an electronic copy on the project page. All persons who believe that their interest in the property is affected by the proposed bylaws shall be afforded a reasonable opportunity to present submissions respecting matters contained in the bylaws.
