Based on consultation with the BC Wildfire Service, the SLRD has assessed that the potential danger to life and health due to the Pear Lake wildfire has subsided to the degree that parts of the Evacuation Alert, issued pursuant to Section 95 (1) of the BC Emergency and Disaster Management Act, by the Squamish-Lillooet Regional District on August 23, 2026 at 1600 hrs, are no longer required.

An Evacuation Alert may need to be reissued for the properties in the Rescind area. If that is deemed necessary, the Evacuation Alert process will recommence.
The updated Evacuation Alert and Evacuation Order areas for other properties in the Pear Lake wildfire vicinity remain, as per the attached map.
